AIK JUNIOR 50
ENDURO
8 Karts 50 laps.
Who will win?
$30 per Junior
Endurance Race
Format and Rules
-
Dates of
Races: TBA
-
Track 2- 800
foot road
course.
-
Time 5:00
pm.
-
Endurance
races are 50
laps.
-
Qualifying
will be 10
laps in
randomly
assigned
karts.
-
Qualifying
fastest lap
times
determine
the starting
order for
the race,
not the kart
number.
-
Karts will
be selected
randomly by
drawing.
-
All races
will have 8
drivers
maximum.
American
Indoor
Karting
reserves the
right to
place racers
in heats
appropriate
with their
lap times.
IE: the last
junior in a
qualifier is
2 seconds
off the pace
of the kids
he/she will
be with. The
junior will
be placed in
the next
slowest
group for
safety. This
will
increase the
fun that the
junior has
racing,
instead of
worrying
about being
passed every
lap.
-
Karts will
be gridded
up for a
standing
start on the
track,
remember
this is a 50
lap race.
Crashing or
getting a
penalty in
the first
corner, will
not benefit
you.
-
Trophies
will be
awarded for
first,
second and
third place.
-
Points will
also be
awarded for
each junior
and a four
series
champion
will be
crowned
after four
endurance
races are
run.
-
All American
Indoor
Karting
rules apply.
We expect
everyone to
act
respectfully
to others.
-
Any junior
racer acting
inappropriately,
or
endangering
themselves
or others,
will be
immediately
taken out of
the race and
no refund
will be
given. Any
parent
acting
inappropriately
before,
during or
after a race
will cause
the junior
and the
parent to be
escorted
from the
building.
This racing
program is
for kids to
enjoy, not
for parents
to act
inappropriately
during the
event. Let
the kids
race, and
let the kids
decide their
demeanor.
This is a
great
learning
experience
for the
racers to
feel what it
is like to
race with
several
other people
on the track
in a
competitive
environment.
-
This is a
race for
individual
juniors. We
need to have
payment for
the junior a
full 7 days
in advance
of the race.
In the event
that you
cannot show
for the
event and
there is no
one to fill
in the space
left open,
you lose the
entry fee.
If an
alternate
junior can
be found the
day of the
event, the
parent's
money will
be refunded.
-
Each racer
will be
tracked in
the computer
and the
racer who
completes 50
laps first
will win.
-
In the event
that a kart
fails for a
mechanical
reason other
than a
crash, the
junior will
be given a
replacement
kart the
race will
not be
stopped
unless it is
deemed
unsafe to
remove the
kart from
the track
for the
junior to
get a new
kart.
-
If a race
needs to be
slowed to
remove a
kart and
replace it,
the karts
will be
slowed using
the Shutdown
system. No
passing will
take effect
under this
full course
yellow
situation.
-
The first
penalty for
violation of
the rules
will be a 10
second pit
stop.
-
The second
penalty for
a violation
of the rules
will be a 30
second pit
stop.
-
The third
penalty will
result in
removal of
the junior
racer from
the race.
-
Most racers
are
accustomed
to a 24-lap
race. This
is a 50-lap
endurance
race.
Remember
that there
will be many
turns to get
past your
opponents,
not just the
next one in
front of
you.
-
This event
is
non-refundable.
No refund
will be
given for
any reason,
kart
breakage,
violation of
rules,
improper
conduct or
basically
losing the
race for any
possible
reason on
the planet
that could
occur.
-
Please remember that this is
supposed to be fun. We award
prizes, trophies and other items
for endurance races, but the
goal is to enjoy two hours of
spirited racing in a competitive
environment without someone
getting hurt. Remember your
manners and act appropriately as
a winner or loser. Take into
consideration that there are a
number of other people trying to
enjoy the same experience that
you are. Don't be a poor sport
and ruin the experience for
someone else. Inappropriate
actions will result in the
participating member being
barred from racing at American
Indoor Karting again
-
